Padma, a medical student as a child is a witness to her father, a temple priest's murder. Ever since she doesn't believe in God or anything super natural. Into her life comes Dev, a man who believes in destiny and Padma finds herself getting close to him without her knowledge. She likes his words, his confidence and his devotion. She also feels he is not an ordinary person. When she tells him that she wants to live together, Dev is not willing for the simple reason, that she doesn't believe him, in his thinking and his doctrine of Karma.
