'Everybody's going to come back for a sequel,' director Peter Berg reveals when asked about whether the two stars of 'Hancock' will reprise their roles.

Charlize Theron and Will Smith won't miss out on joining "Hancock" sequel, "Hancock 2". Talking to MTV before he heads to Toronto International Film Festival, director Peter Berg gave out the confirmation on the return of the two stars of the superhero movie to the sequel.

Asked whether or not the two Hollywood stars will reprise their roles as the immortal gods, the 45-year-old filmmaker responded with "Everybody's going to come back for a sequel." With that said, it is safe to say that Theron and Smith's co-star who takes on the role of PR executive Ray Embrey in the first film, Jason Bateman, also makes a return to the sequel.

Last year, Theron had told MTV that she would love to reprise her Mary Embrey role if the others come back. "With those guys? If everybody's on board? Yeah!" she said. "Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride." Meanwhile, Smith has been involved with this sequel project by consulting on the story.

"Hancock 2" has scribes Adam Fierro and Glen Mazzara to pen the script. The two screenwriters will work with Smith and Berg "to build on the world hinted at in the first movie". Berg has hinted earlier that it is likely that there will be at least one more all-powerful god in the sequel, and he already has an idea who will play the character. "We have [someone in mind]," the director teased. "I'm not gonna tell you who, but we have!"
