Prior to deleting his Twitter account earlier this week, the 20-year-old R 'n' B star said last month the site has brought him nothing but trouble.

Providing no explanation on him deleting his Twitter account earlier this week, Chris Brown admitted in an interview with MTV News last month, "Honestly, Twitter has done nothing but get me into trouble." At that time, the R 'n' B singer was talking about a fan-made video montage of him and former girlfriend Rihanna that he had posted on his account in October.

Despite his revelation, Chris said in the same interview that the popular micro-blogging site did help him to stay in touch with fans. "I would say Twitter is just a way for me to talk to my fans directly - the people who actually support me and want to know who I am," he stated. "Like, I get a chance to talk to them or say little things on there sometimes that might be funny sometimes. I might be arguing with somebody on there like ... somebody might say something and I might say something back. But for the most part I get a chance to talk to fans and [say], 'Look, if you all didn't see this video, look at that, look at this.' Or I am always just having fun on there, so it's an interaction thing for me and my fans."

Chris Brown deleted his Twitter account hot on the heels of his rant about Walmart and the rest of the recording industry not handling his latest album "Graffiti" very well. He accused some major record stores to have blackballed his set. Prior to deleting his account, he posted a short message that read, "I WANNA THANK MY FANS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT. I LOVE YALL. GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!!"
