Alex Gerrard and Carly Cole get back to normality as early England exit means they can plan their holidays

With England's dreams of a World Cup trophy on hold for another four years, the players' WAGs have been revelling in having their men back home.

But with a month to go before the new season starts and the prospect of being abused by angry England fans, the footballers are unlikely to stay in England for long.

Steven Gerrard's wife Alex and Joe Cole's spouse Carly were both spotted out and about near their respective homes in Merseyside and London today ahead of their summer holidays.

While it is unknown just where the Gerrards and Coles will be holidaying, fans won't be to surprised to see some bikini-clad photos of the WAGs on a sandy beach in the imminent future.

After being reunited with her husband on Monday, Mrs Gerrard went back to normality as she ran errands today in preparation for her holiday.

Wearing her gym gear, the 27-year-old stopped by Wiggins Hair Centre to check out hair extensions before joining some friends for lunch at the Neighbourhood Cafe.

Unlike Mrs Cole and some other England WAGS, Mrs Curran stayed put in Merseyside during the World Cup.

Mrs Gerrard was poised to fly to South Africa if England got the quarter-finals, but unfortunately ended up staying put after team lost against Germany on Sunday.

While her husband was thousands of miles away fulfilling his duties as captain, Alex was shopping up a storm in preparation for their holiday.

The mother-of-two showed off some of her purchases in her weekly magazine column as she gushed excitedly about their upcoming vacation.

As she spoke about a new maxi dress purchase, she wrote in her OK! column: 'I
love it and I can’t wait to wear it out in the sunshine. That said, I might actually save it for the holiday we’ll be going on after the World Cup.'

The Gerrards' summer holiday comes just two months after their recent vacation to Dubai, where Alex admitted she enjoyed the food a bit too much.

But with Steven in training for the World Cup, his wife has also been hitting the gym to get her bikini body ready.

Meanwhile, down south in London, proud mum Carly, 26, was showing off her three-month-old baby daughter Ruby Tatiana to two friends.

The three women were spotted heading out to the nearby King's Road for lunch, with Carly taking charge of Ruby's huge £600 Silver Cross pram.

Just 10 minutes earlier, her husband Joe was also seen heading out, though he didn't look quite so happy as Carly.

The personal trainer, who appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! two years ago, showed off her slimmed down post-baby body in a tight-fitting navy lycra dress and espadrilles.

Looking happy and tanned, there was no sign of jet lag following Mrs Cole's one week trip to South Africa.

Miss Vietnam in Europe and SNG crowned

Nguyen Thu May, a student from the Czech Republic, won Miss Vietnam Europe 2010 while Phung Thi My, a student from Moscow, was crowned as Miss Vietnam SNG 2010.

Thu May or Daniela Nguyen Nova was crowned on June 27 in London.

Over 20 contestants from European countries like France, Switzerland, Denmark, Hungary, England and even Canada took part in three final rounds, including ao dai, swimwear and evening gown. Ten were chosen for the interview and Thu May emerged as the winner.

Thu May, whose mother is Vietnamese and father is Czech, has a western-style beauty, but she can speak Vietnamese very well.

The first runner-up is Nguyen Thi My Hanh from England and the second runner-up is Jenny Bui from Sweden. All three finalists are students.

Also on June 27, Phung Thi My, a student from the Moscow Agriculture University, became Miss Vietnam SNG at the finale in Moscow, Russia. My also won the “Best Answer” in the interview round. Being asked “What makes the particular beauty of Vietnamese women?” My used late President Ho Chi Minh’s eight words for Vietnamese women as her answer: “anh hung, bat khuat, trung hau, dam dang” (heroic, undaunted, loyal, capable). The answer won the support of both the jury and the audience.
