Here comes the sun: Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio hosted her Follow The Sun bash at the Thompson Hotel in New York yesterday


When Alessandra Ambrosio hosts a party you can guarantee there will be a host of beauties in attendance.

True to form she was joined by her fellow Victoria's Secrets angels Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima for her Follow The Sun bash at the Thompson Hotel in New York.

The trio were celebrating the summer at what Alessandra hopes will become her annual poolside bash.

Alessandra had earlier tweeted: 'A beautiful day and very hot! Feels like I'm in Brazil! The party is gonna be fun.'

The 29-year-old wore a flattering backless tie-die purple and lime green maxi dress with a simple pair of wedge sandals.

Alessandra's hair was tied in a side plait, while her make-up was flatteringly low key.

Guests were entertained by male models playing in the pool.

Alessandra said she was looking forward to summer.

'My perfect summer always involves my family, my friends, the beach, and of course good music,' the Brazilian told Modelinia.

'It’s when I spend time with Anja [her daughter] and Jamie [her fiance].

'We take long strolls on the beach, in Los Angeles where we also have a house, and have friends over at the end of the day and have good laughs. That’s already a good start!'
