Horsing around: Russell Brand and Jennifer Garner film scenes for their upcoming movie Arthur in New York


Jennifer Garner showed off her top notch riding skills as she filmed scenes with Russell Brand for their upcoming movie Arthur in New York.

The actress, who was dressed in a flowing white frock, was joined in the saddle by her co-star, who wore a matching white suit.

However, while Russell tried to channel his inner white knight, he looked a little on edge on the steed.

Arthur is remake of the 1981 film of the same name. Jennifer, 38, plays a wealthy heiress who’s insecure about her humble background and is about to marry Russell's playboy character in an arranged marriage.

The original movie starred Dudley Moore and Liza Minelli

Jennifer is already happily married to actor Ben Affleck and has two daughters, Violet, 4 and Seraphina, 1. Russell, 35, is engaged to 25-year-old singer Katy Perry.

Jennifer and Russell filmed their scenes at Old Westbury Gardens in New York. 'The irony is that the original was shot here, too,' Vincent Kish, communications director for Old Westbury Gardens told Newsday.

The historic house and gardens boast 200 acres of formal gardens, landscaped grounds, woodlands, ponds and lakes.

The gardens and the house have appeared in more than 20 major films over the years including North by Northwest, Love Story and American Gangster.

Directed by Jason Winer, Arthur also stars Helen Mirren and Nick Nolte. The film is expected to be released in 2011.
