Pedal pushers: Russell Brand and Katy Perry brave heat and traffic to cycle through the streets of New York
Russell Brand and Katy Perry made time in their very busy schedules for a leisurely bike ride through New York over the weekend.
Braving the Big Apple's sweltering temperatures and notorious traffic, the couple pedalled along 38th and 6th Avenue on Sunday.
Russell wore knee length grey shorts, a white tank top and trainers to ride his black mountain bike.

Katy's outfit was less practical, but she did look very cute in a violet sun dress and flip flops as she rode her aquamarine bicycle complete with wicker picnic basket.
Russell, 35, has been busy filming scenes in New York for his latest movie Arthur, with co-stars Jennifer Garner and Helen Mirren.
The latest pictures from the set show Russell enjoying his comedic role and sporting a top hat and tails for his arranged marriage, as he filmed scenes with Luis Guzman.

And while Russell's character is a playboy in the film, it's his fiancée who was seen messing around with another man.
However, it was all part of her video for her new single, Teenage Dream. Nonetheless, the stills from the shoot are fairly raunchy.
The 25-year-old singer wearing only jeans and a bra is pictured enjoying a passionate kiss with American actor Josh Kloss and in another scene she straddles the former O.C. star and he picks her up and dances with her.

Russell, however, seems more concerned about the effects on his fiancée when it comes to filming his own wedding scenes for Arthur.
Earlier today he tweeted: 'I'm doing a pretend wedding in a real church while acting drunk. Forgive me Lord. And @katyperry.'
Russell and Katy are set to marry this October in India.
