Before and after: Helen Flanagan started out her Manchester shopping trip bare-legged but eventually decided she needed to cover up


'Eeh chuck, it's parky oop North! It's only just the start of September - but it seems going totally bare-legged on a shopping trip in Manchester is just a tad too nippy for Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan.

The soap startlet started her spree in the city centre wearing an almost invisible microdress, fake fur coat and black studded Christian Louboutin stilettos, but left her endless pins naked to the elements.

But even with a forecast of 20°C, it seems it just wasn't warm enough - so Helen popped into a shop and emerged in some rather saucy stockings and suspenders to raise the temperature a few degrees

The pretty 20-year-old, who plays teen temptress Rosie Webster in Corrie, had been dressed much more suitably for a day of shopping yesterday when she made another retail foray into town.

Then, she was sporting skinny jeans, lacey cardigan and wedge-heeled, suede lace-up boots.

But it seems like her on-screen alter-ego - who has previously sported skimpy basques on the cobbles of Weatherfield since she transformed from a mousy schoolgirl to a vamp - Helen can't help being saucy on occasion, even in public.

In a forthcoming storyline in the soap, Rosie - the wayward daughter of Sally and Kevin - is set to romp with Jason Grimshaw after a modelling shoot.

Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas, drives Webster to her latest job and when the professional male model doesn't show up, saucy Rosie pleads him to take his place.

Maybe Helen's a method actor and wearing her stockings is all part of finding her motivation.

Whatever the reason, we're sure her male fans aren't complaining...
