Grand entrance: Bradley Cooper and Sharlto Copley arrive by tank at the premiere of The A-Team held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood

Fans and stars alike were given a treat as they witnessed a fantastic show at the Hollywood premiere of the new A-Team movie last night.

In a change to the run of the mill red carpet affairs we've all become accustomed to, the cast members got the chance to have some fun at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.

Sharlto Colply, who plays Murdock in the film, and Bradley Cooper (Faceman) made their grand entrance aboard a tank while a helicopter circled over the boulevard.

The van is back: The infamous GMC van with its sliding doors and red stripe was the centre of attention at the action-packed premiere

And the famous GMC van took centre stage on the red carpet, as the rest of the film's stars made their way into the new film - which has been the subject of some controversy, as diehard fans objected to some of the casting choices with some even criticising producers for updating the classic TV series.

Jessica Biel, 28, looked great in a white one-shouldered dress with a sheer black lace panel at the waist, and a revealing thigh-high split. She finished off the outfit with a pair of black high-heeled suede patent shoes.

The actress saw off competition from fellow female Hollywood stars including Kristen Bell, whose multi-coloured mini dress showed off her enviable figure for maximum affect - although she made a slight faux pas by leaving the price tag on the sole of her towering heels.

Hills star Stephanie Pratt, sister of Spencer, dazzled in a shimmering dress covered with silver sequins, while Minnie Driver stuck with a sensible, one-sleeved knee-length black dress.

Canadian actress Kathleen Robertson showed off her pins in a white mini dress with black stripes and a pair of silver heels.

Meanwhile male cast members were looking suitably dapper for the Hollywood screening, Bradley Cooper pushing the boat out in a three-piece suit complete.

Altogether now: Bradley Cooper (Faceman), Jessica Biel (Captain Charisa Sosa), Sharlto Copley (Murdock), Liam Neeson (Hannibal), Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (B.A Baracus) pose for a group shot at the premiere

However former UFC fighter Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, who plays fan favourite B.A Baracus, made less of an effort in a leather jacket, T-shirt, jeans and trainers.

Liam Neeson, who plays A-Team mastermind Hannibal, was also present as the actors got together for a group shot.

Patrick Wilson and Adrien Brody were also present at the premiere, Brody going slightly off the beaten path in his all black ensemble, minus a jacket but wearing a trilby hat.

The new A-Team movie has been the subject of heated debates since its conception, but production went on unabated.

Fans have debated the line-up for the film, and argued over whether the series should been remade in the first place, over the past year.

Quinton Jackson in particular has been scrutinised, primarily by his UFC fans for retiring from the sport to pursue his acting career.

But he has also faced criticism from fans of the TV show, because of his lack of acting experience and the irreplaceable quality of the original B.A. Baracus, Mr.T.
The new film updates the original story which saw the A-Team flee a army prison, where they were being held for a crime they didn't commit, and operating as a vigilante outfit.

In the original 80s television series they were Vietnam war vets, however, in the new film they are veterans from the Iraq war.

Return: B.A. Baracus, played by UFC fighter Quinton Jackson, is happy to see the A-Team after his breakout from a maximum security jail

Other notable differences are influenced by the film's high production values, with bigger explosions and special effects.

However, judging by the film's trailer it appears that the producers have at least attempted to stay true to many aspects of the TV series - including some of the classic catchphrases and running jokes that made the show so popular.
