Miley Cyrus certainly seems adverse to covering up these days.

The 17-year-old pop star, who has been courting controversy lately with her increasingly daring stage outfits, wore a revealing vest for a gym session yesterday.

The ripped and gaping top put her lacy bra on show as she headed home after a workout session in Los Angeles.

Despite heavy criticism of her recent raunchy makeover, the Can't Be Tamed singer remains unapologetic.

"I'm not trying to be 'slutty'," says Miley in a recent interview. 'I'm not trying to be like, go to the club and get a bunch of guys.

'What I'm trying to do is to make a point with my record and look consistent, in the way my record sounds and the way I dress. It's not like this was me five years ago. It's me now, presently.'

Miley, who is taking a break after a demanding promotional schedule for her new album, was earlier spotted enjoying a pampering session at a nail salon.

And the star appears to be gaining a reputation for being just a little high maintenance.

She recently spent an impressive $24,000 on new hair extensions, according to America's In Touch magazine.

Miley is said to have had extensions flown from Italy to New York's Gemini 14 salon, at which point stylist Kristina Baricelli flew with the extensions to Los Angeles, where they were finally put on.
