Flirty mini to full-length and fabulous: Eva Longoria shimmered in a long gem-encrusted dress with train, after earlier flashing the flesh in a very tight bandage dress


The opening night of the Cannes Film Festival, Eva Longoria dazzled on the red carpet in a billowing white ballgown before changing into a gold mini-dress.

So as the Desperate Housewives actress hit the French Riviera for a second day in a row yesterday, she decided to keep to her winning style formula.

The diminutive star started the day off in a flirty grey mini-dress, which appeared too tight - even for her - before changing into a striking gem-encrusted floor-length dress for a film premiere.

On Thursday night, Longoria joined fellow L'Oreal brand ambassador, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai at the glitzy screening of French comedy Tournee.

Indian actress Rai, 36, looked stunning in a dramatic embroided Armani Prive gown.

With the two actresses providing the glamour, the flamboyant stars of the film were the entertainment.

A troupe of American burlesque dancers with names like Dirty Martini and Mimi Le Meaux, flashed the flesh in their risqué outfits.

Earlier on Wednesday, the 5 ft 2 actress showed off her slender physique in a grey wool-blend bandage dress and a $795 pair of blue suede Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo heels as she shopped in Cannes.

Although attending without her husband Tony Parker, Longoria's close friend Kate Beckinsale is also at Cannes this year in her role as juror

Both Beckinsale and Longoria opted for long sweeping ballgowns as they attended the gala opening of the festival on Wednesday at the premiere of Robin Hood.

After the screening, they both changed into mini-dresses for the after-party at the Hotel Majestic on the Croisette.

Longoria complemented her olive skin tone with a gold asymmetrical Elie Saab mini and matching high heeled sandals.

Posting a picture of her with Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal on her Twitter page, Longoria enthused: 'Me and Gael Garcia Bernal last night at Robin Hood party. Great movie.'

Although she doesn't have a film at the festival, Longoria is expected to be a regular on the red carpet over the 12 day festival as a guest of her employer L'Oreal
