Heartbreak cure: Jennifer Love Hewitt seen at her Brentwood home in Los Angeles split from her boyfriend, and in time-honoured fashion has cut her locks


Just weeks after ending her one year relationship with Jamie Kennedy, it appears Jennifer Love Hewitt has opted for a popular heartbreak cure - cutting her hair.

The actress, 31, has cut her previous flowing long locks into a wavy bob.

The I Know What You Did Last Summer star was spotted showing off her new shorter 'do in Brentwood, Los Angeles over the weekend.

Hewitt and Kennedy, 39, confirmed their split two weeks ago, but will still continue to work together on their TV show The Ghost Whisperer

Hewitt said: 'It was a mutual decision and we've parted as friends. There's no anger, there's no upset, there's no enemies.

'It's been totally fine. It's really a testament to who he is and to who I am. We're both grown-ups.'

Hewitt admitted she was anxious about being single again, declaring she prefers to be in relationships.

She explained: 'I don't like to go out to clubs and party. I'm not into, "Let's go out with one guy on a Monday and another guy on a Wednesday." That's just not me.
'I'm a relationship kind of girl. I like a twosome.

'Some people get excited about being single. I don't.'

The couple started dating in March last year - just three months after Hewitt ended her engagement to Scottish actor Ross McCall, who she dated for three years.

Kennedy was so enthralled with Hewitt, he gushed about her on live radio to American Idol host Ryan Seacrest after just week of dating.

He said: 'I'm in love and I don't care.

'It's like, "Wow, you are hot. You can sing, you can dance, you’re, like, so smart and, wow, you can cook pasta fagioli too."'

Prior to McCall, Hewitt also dated LFO singer Rich Cronin and singer John Mayer.
