Party time: Victoria Beckham leaves a Pre-Oscar house party on Coldwater Canyon in Beverly Hills wearing a giant fur coat

She may only have made one - rather cringeworthy - movie, but that wasn't stopping Victoria Beckham from enjoying the Oscars parties like the rest of the Hollywood elite.

Tinseltown is buzzing in anticipation of tonight's massive awards ceremony and the former Spice Girl made sure her face was seen among the sea of celebs.

Wearing a thick faux fur jacket and her trademark shades, skinny jeans and ultra-high Louboutins, David Beckham's wife was spotted leaving a Pre-Oscar house party on Coldwater Canyon in Beverly Hills.

She accesorised the outfit with a large chain-link gold chain, slightly reminsicent of the old 80s hip-hop style neckwear as sported by groups like Run DMC.

The 35-year-old mother-of-three was accompanied by her eldest son Brooklyn, 11, who was dressed in a preppy style outfit consisting of a black and white checked shirt and beige chinos.

Other guests at the mansion party included Jane Fonda, U.S. TV anchor Anderson Cooper, Bill Maher, Joan Collins, Anjelica Houston, Nicky Hilton and stylist Rachel Zoe.

On the same day, one of Posh's rivals, Katie Price, was pictured dining out in Los Angeles with Alex Reid.

The 31-year-old grabbed lunch with her cagefighter husband at The Ivy restaurant before the couple headed down to do some underwear shopping at the Trashy Lingerie store.

A report in the Daily Star claims that Victoria Beckham and Katie Price have both been invited to Elton John's post-Oscars party tonight.

Price and Miss Beckham are well known rivals and it was alleged that there was bad blood between the two at the same event last year.

In February last year the former glamour model spoke to the Daily Mirror at the party and said: 'I saw Victoria and tried to approach her to say ‘Hello’. But she blatantly refused to make eye contact with me. It was so rude.

'Instead she muttered something under her breath. She was definitely slagging me off and couldn’t get away fast enough. I was pretty p***ed off but now I couldn’t care less. I won’t look her way again.'

Discussing this year's get-together, a source said: 'Kate is not officially invited to Elton's do, especially after the last few months.

'But she has managed to bag herself an invite indirectly so it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.'

The two became rivals in 2000 after apparently falling out over popstar Dane Bowers.
