Futuristic: Kylie Minogue heads to a London recording studio yesterday in an unusual pair of Acne 'warrior chic' leggings

The skin-tight black leggings were covered with silver metal knee pads and adjacent plates of metal on the shins and thighs.

After a late night partying at the Brits, where Minogue dazzled in a Dolce and Gabbana floor-length gown, she went for a dramatically different look the following day for her studio session.

Minogue is currently working on her 11th studio album, a follow up to 2007's X, which is due for release in the summer

After glamming up on the red carpet at the Brit Awards the night before, Kylie Minogue supposed to be having a low-key day at the recording studio.

But given her unusual choice of clothing, perhaps we can expect a futuristic, electronic sound on new album.

The Australian singer, 41, stepped out in an unusual pair of Acne metallic leggings, which looked like they had been inspired by a Star Wars storm-trooper or Starlight Express.

Yesterday, she posted a photo of herself in the studio with producers Stuart Price, Fraser T Smith and Tim Rice-Oxley on her Twitter page.

She said: 'Studio with Stuart Price, Fraser T Smith and Tim Rice-Oxley... great day.'
Meanwhile, Minogue is rumoured to be thinking of starting a family with her Spanish boyfriend of two years Andres Velencoso.

The 41-year-old singer hopes to try for a family after she completed her next album.
She said: 'It won't happen just yet but soon I hope, it would be lovely. I've got a new album coming out -- I'll have to get that out of the way first

Minogue is set to become an auntie for the third time later this year when her younger sister Dannii gives birth to her first child.

The sisters are already aunties to their brother Brendan's two children.

But Minogue did insist she had no wedding plans with Velencoso and insisted they were happy just as they were.

She explained: 'I don’t know where people get that information, but no, I’m not getting married. Well. I guess that I will one day, but it’s not in my immediate plans. Love is number one in my priorities now. I’m in love.'
