All grown up: X Factor reject Lucie Jones in her first modelling shots for Select

Her fresh-faced innocent appeal made valleys' girl Lucie Jones an instant favourite when she first auditioned for the X Factor.

But just a few months later and the Welsh teenager has undergone a startling transformation.

After being knocked out of the show her classic good looks led to the 19-year-old being snapped up by top modelling agency Select.

And in her first professional shots Lucie has been transformed into a smouldering beauty.

After signing for the agency before Christmas Lucie has spent the last month working with some of the UK's top fashion photographers on her professional portfolio.

For these shots, photographed by Kristin Vicari, she was dressed by Alexander McQueen in this season's on-trend lace dress, by Cavalli in low cut black top and by Christopher Kane for TopShop in the black rivet dress.

Smouldering: Lucie was scouted by Select

Lucie is part of the new faces team which kick started the careers of Lily Donaldson, Stella Tennant, Agyness Deyn, Daisy Lowe and Paul Sculfor.

Head of new faces at Select, Susannah Hooker, said: 'She was a natural - very relaxed in front of the camera and at ease modelling clothes and creating imagery that she hadn't ever done before to create really individual looks as well as more mainstream looks.

Fresh-faced: It was a different Lucie who first auditioned for the X Factor

'We were really impressed with how versatile she was and how quickly she adapted to what was needed from her - the results are fantastic and we're looking forward to working with her in 2010.'

When Lucie left the X Factor, ITV chiefs received 3,000 complaints that the result had been a ‘fix’, after head judge Simon Cowell dropped his long-standing opposition to twins John and Edward Grimes, who had proved strangely endearing to viewers.

After leaving the show she admitted the stylists had struggled to understand her style: 'I sort of was me but I wasn’t me, I think it was a big problem to get me quite right.'
