Two years after she was catapulted from obscurity into the charts with breakthrough pop hit Sweet About Me, Gabriella Cilmi is channelling a more mature look for her new album.

Having turned 18, Cilmi has put her teen pop days behind her for a sexy new style.

Promoting her second album and latest single Hearts Don't Lie, Cilmi strikes a sultry pose in a skimpy yellow swimsuit.


Despite her sexier image and recent photoshoot for FHM magazine, Cilmi insists she won't be a regular in men's magazines.

She said: 'I look at them and I laugh at them, because I know that they're not very representative of me, and who I am as a person, and what my music's about.

'I thought Pink's done it, Beyoncé's done it, all these people have done it, and I'm like, 'You only live once, why not give it a shot?

'Would I do it again? I don't think so. I guess you learn not to get caught up in the same stuff, you learn for next time. I don't regret it, but I wouldn't do it again.'

As part of her new disco diva image for her new album Ten, Cilmi shows off her dancing skills in variety of colourful dresses in the fast-paced video for Heart's Don't Lie.

In a recent interview, Cilmi admitted her dresses are so tight, she fears she may collapse.

She said: 'I love the whole disco fever thing - but sometimes my dresses are so tight, I feel like my lungs are going to collapse.'

Hearts Don't Lie sees Cilmi re-team with English pop production house Xenomania, who have been responsible for most of Girls Aloud's biggest hits.

It's the second release from her new album Ten, which Cilmi describes as 'lots of uptempo funk and disco-inspired numbers designed to make people groove'.

Now based in England, the Melbourne-raised star admitted she's got a crush on young royal Prince Harry.

She told the Mail On Sunday's Live magazine: 'It's Harry's freckles that do it for me. They're so cute. In the very unlikely event that he asked me to marry him I'd have to decline.

'I'd never fit in at Buckingham Palace. If you'd ever seen me eat at the dinner table you'd understand. I attack my food. I need to wear bibs. My family have learnt to sit at a distance because my food flies everywhere. I don't think the Queen would approve.'

It was splashdown for Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend when they paid a visit to Universal Studios this week.

The Hannah Montana actress, 17, enjoyed a day out with Liam Hemsworth, 20, at the theme park in Hollywood.

Wearing a loosely-knitted black top over a white vest, black shorts and boots the teen star and her beau took their turn on several of the attractions including the Jurassic Park water ride.

The couple ducked for cover as they zipped down a waterslide and splashed into a pool at the bottom - escaping relatively dry.


They also tried out Shrek 3D, The Mummy and the brand new Simpsons ride which is based on Krusty the clown's low-budget theme park.

It's described as a wild, over-the-top ride through the park in which the participants fly, float and crash their way through Krustyland’s kiddie attractions, stunt shows, and thrill rides.

The singer-turned-actress recently spoke about the first kiss she shared with her boyfriend, which same on the set of Disney film The Last Song.

She told the Daily Record they kissed just two weeks after recording a screen test together: 'That was the very first day of filming.

'It was nice to get it out of the way. It’s your job, so you’re professional, but it was a good way to break the ice, I guess.'

And she revealed that her scenes required a new kind of acting maturity, very different to that which fans will be used to.

She said: 'Those scenes are more adult than anything else I’ve done.

Meanwhile, Miley also spoke about how she'll be sad to be filming the final scenes of Hannah Montana - as she calls the hit Disney series her "security blanket."

Miley said: 'It has been nice to have a break from the show and play something a little bit more dramatic. A part of that makes me sad because the show has been like a security blanket. But another part of me is happy to move on to a new chapter of my life.'

Adding: 'Just because I want to move on from the show doesn't mean I don't appreciate what it has given to me.'

It's not every day a girl ends up at number four on the list of the Sexiest Women In The World.

After finding out she was made the number four spot in the FHM magazine poll, the Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford celebrated with a girlie day out with her best friend.

Following a spot of retail therapy on London's Oxford Street, the 21-year-old and her lookalike friend stopped off for a pizza lunch at a branch of Strada.

Enjoying the warm weather, the two friends took the opportunity to have an alfresco lunch in the sunshine.

Clearly a woman who enjoys her food, Sandford chowed down on a pizza and was seen licking her fingers after she finished.

During her extensive shopping trip, Sandford visited TopShop and tried on a selection of fascinators, before posting a photo of her wearing one on her Twitter page.

Writing on her Twitter page, she said: 'Shop shop shop arghhhh!!!... fun times in Topshop.'

After a hard day shopping, Sandford still found the energy to attend the Alphabeat concert at the Koko venue in Camden.

Not far behind was her Irish bandmate Una Healy, but fellow Saturdays singer Rochelle Wiseman just managed to squeeze in the top 100 at 98.

Unfortunately her other two bandmates Mollie King and Vanessa White failed to make the cut.

Nearly two months after they split, Sandford has fuelled rumours she may get back together with McFly boyfriend Dougie Poynter after they've been spotted together several times in recent weeks.

'It was so embarrassing seeing the pictures of me crying the other day. It was the first time I'd seen him since the split, so I was so emotional. I wasn't expecting him to be so sweet, but he was.'

Sandford insists she is still single and has shot down rumours linking her to footballer Ashley Cole and JLS singer Aston Merrygold.

Instead, it seems Cheryl Cole has chosen to let her image do the talking.

In the new issue of fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar, the 26-year-old pop star smoulders as she adorns the front cover.


Discussing the future, Mrs Cole admits she has no set plans and is planning to 'go with the flow'.

Inside, the singer is featured in a selection of revealing couture outfits looking every inch the classical beauty.

All of which must leave estranged husband Ashley, 29, wondering just why he cheated on The X Factor judge in the first place.

Earlier this month the Daily Mail told how the Chelsea and England footballer’s attempts to woo back his ex-wife had been in vain.

Despite his best efforts, Miss Cole is said to be preparing to 'divorce Ashley with dignity' and had started making plans to end her three-and-a-half-year marriage.

The defender and Mrs Cole - who was also named the World's Sexiest Woman by men's magazine FHM earlier this week - married in July 2006 at a lavish ceremony in Hertfordshire.

But just 18 months later the marriage was first thrown into turmoil when he was alleged to have cheated with hairdresser Aimee Walton in 2008.

It appeared they had repaired their relationship but the marriage collapsed after it was alleged Cole had cheated on Mrs Cole again, this time with football club secretary Vicki Gough.

A number of other women also came forward with claims of Cole’s philandering.

He has recently recovered from a broken ankle and is now preparing for the World Cup in South Africa, which begins in June.

The star will support American band The Black Eyed Peas on their European tour, which starts tomorrow in Irish capital Dublin.

In a behind-the-scenes interview with Harper's Bazaar, the singer admitted she does most of her shopping online because she hates the unflattering lighting in changing rooms.

She said: 'I tend to shop online – mostly online to be honest because I actually feel the whole thing of shopping actually really stressful.

'Just the lighting in dressing rooms makes you depressed for some reason.'

With eight months still to go in 2010, the X Factor Judge admits she hasn't made any set plans.

She explained: 'I don’t set myself goals as in what I wanted to achieve by 2010 or in ten years time - I feel like I’ve been lucky and blessed enough to achieved what I have up to now.

'I’m happy with my lot; anything from now is a bonus - anything I do do I’m going to give 100 per cent - I always will. But, I don’t have anything planned - I just go with the flow.'

As well as topping the Sexiest Woman In The World list, Mrs Cole also appeared on the Sunday Times Rich List.

Thanks to her advertising deals with L'Oreal and Coke Zero, the singer has seen her wealth increase by 150 per cent to £10million since last year.

She was said to have been paid £1.2million to judge the last series of The X Factor, which saw her protoge Joe McElderry win the title.

After being mobbed by swarms of teenage girls and giving endless interviews, teen heart-throb Justin Bieber finally got time to relax today - and promptly jumped off a bridge.

And while bungee jumping may not be everyone's idea of a relaxing treat, it certainly seemed to do the trick for the 16-year-old pop star.

The Canadian teen idol listened carefully as he was talked through the safety procedures, before smiling as he prepared for the jump.

And while many would be fearful of leaping off a bridge, it didn't seem to worry the young star, whose grin didn't falter.

Bieber was enjoying a brief period of free time during his whirlwind one-day trip to New Zealand.

Property presenter Kirstie Allsopp has blasted Katie Price for using her children to help her make money.

The Location, Location, Location host even likened Katie's way of promoting seven-year-old Harvey, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess to 'putting her children up a chimney to earn some money'.

But Katie has hit back at the criticism, asking: 'Who the hell is Kirstie Allsopp?'

Kirstie's comments come after Katie, 31, used her two youngest children, Junior and Princess, to model a variety of items for her latest equestrian clothing range on her website.

The children also appear in Katie's reality show on ITV2.

Kirstie, 38, is quoted as saying to Star magazine: 'She might as well just put her children up a chimney to earn some money. They have no chance in later life of leading private lives.

'By making them famous, you are removing their right to make that decision themselves.'

Kirstie has two children, three-year-old Bay and one-year-old Oscar, with husband Ben Anderson.

Her private life may be suffering, but Cheryl Cole has been given a boost after being named the Sexiest Woman In The World for the second year in a row.

The X Factor judge, 26, came top in a poll of the 100 sexiest women by male readers of FHM magazine, narrowly beating Hollywood actress Megan Fox and bikini model Marissa Miller.

Cole's new accolade comes after a rollercoaster year for the Geordie star, which has seen her taste success as a solo artist, but split from her husband Ashley Cole.

Transformers siren Fox, 23, ended up in second place to Cole for the second year in a row, despite peeling off in the new Armani lingerie advertisements.

Newly-single Saturdays bandmember Frankie Sandford appeared in fourth place, with just two of her four bandmates appearing in the top 100.

Irish bandmate Una Healy entered at 11, while Rochelle Wiseman just scrapped in at 98.

Kate Hudson was left fighting for her modesty following an unfortunate gust of wind on the red carpet in New York last night.

The actress had chosen to wear a thigh-skimming Louis Vuitton little black dress for her appearance at the premiere of her new film The Killer Inside Me at the Tribeca Film Festival.

But she ended up exposing far more than she had intended after the dress blew up in the breeze, inadvertently recreating Marilyn Monroe's famous Seven Year Itch scene.

Luckily her co-star Jessica Alba was on hand to help, diving in quickly to pull the hemline down.

Kate, who turned 31 last week, had earlier turned heads as she arrived at the School of Visual Arts Theatre in a stylish black and white poncho, also designed by Louis Vuitton.

Her hair was styled into a glamorous retro do, with strong make-up to match and a pair of patent pumps by Brian Atwood - finished off with jewels by Cartier.

Jessica, 29, also took a step back in time, seemingly influenced by the sixties with her bohemian ensemble consisting of a sheer white lightly-pleated maxi dress by Chloe matched with dark-coloured strappy heels and a cream handbag.

She said: 'He is very, very, very particular about the things that he likes, and he's very vocal about when he doesn't like something I'm wearing.'

The controversial film takes place in West Texas during the 1950s and is based on Jim Thompson's pulp novel.

In January, the Toronto Sun reported that many cinema-goers left the first screening at the 1,200-seat Eccles Theatre at the Sundance Film Festival after being disturbed by the gory sex scenes and the sado-masochistic violence.

Alba herself raised a few eyebrows when she left midway through the premiere.

In the film's most graphic scene, Affleck dons a pair of black leather gloves and repeatedly punches Alba's character in the face until it's a bloody pulp.

But both actresses have defended the movie and praised director Michael Winterbottom for staying true to the original novel.

Hudson said: 'This is my third movie with Casey... so I immediately felt excited about having an opportunity to do that again. And it's such a great role for Casey, and it was an interesting role for me - just really meaty scenes, you know, different and dark.'

Alba, meanwhile, spoke of her excitement at working with the director.

She said: 'I've done a lot of movies that are big and commercial and I just really wanted to work with Michael Winterbottom. This was purely a creative decision.'

And the British also defended his film, after he was criticised during a question and answer session at Sundance earlier this year.

Where are you? Model Abbey Clancy struggles to carry her huge Mulberry Paddington bag, while pulling her suitcase and chatting on her mobile phone in north London today


There are plenty of advantages to life as a WAG - exotic holidays, designer clothes and it-bags, to name but a few.

But as Abbey Clancy discovered today, lugging all that expensive clobber around can be a pain.

With 6ft 7in fiancé Peter Crouch nowhere to be seen, the 5ft 9in model was left struggling to balance her oversized £900 Mulberry Paddington bag and leopard print suitcase.

Abbey certainly wasn't dressed for carrying her own luggage, in fashionable harem pants and stiletto-heeled boots.

The 24-year-old was soon making calls on her mobile phone, perhaps to locate England and Tottenham player Crouch.

Luckily a doorman stepped in, taking her suitcase and bag and loading them into her waiting car.

The model recently told how she hates being referred to as a WAG. She said: 'I have a career.

It’s an eyebrow-raising look. Not that Amanda Holden does much of that, thanks to her dalliances with Botox.

But this time, it’s not her remarkably smooth brow that is in the spotlight.

It seems something rather strange has happened to her smile.

Posing for photographers outside a London restaurant on Monday, the Britain’s Got Talent judge showed off much plumper lips

Miss Holden, 39, has always denied having anything other than Botox in her beauty regime and insisted she would never have her lips plumped.

But what does an expert eye have to say about Miss Holden’s changing face?

Mr Abel Mounir, a cosmetic surgeon with the Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group, compared Miss Holden today with how she looked a decade ago.

Here is his verdict:

1. MOUTH AND LIPS

Amanda appears to have had a lip enhancement, in the form of collagen injections or other fillers.

However, she appears to me to have lost the definition of her cupid’s bow and the corners of her mouth seem excessively augmented. This could be as a result of a practitioner ‘over- doing’ Amanda’s lips or if there has been a complication.

It is possible this is because the procedure is very new and there is still some localised swelling.

Swelling and asymmetry post-lip enchancement is common – perhaps not to this extent – in the few days after treatment, and should reduce in size over the next week.

If this is the first time she has had this procedure, my advice to her would be to leave it, let the collagen disappear naturally, and do not under any circumstances feel tempted to go back and have more fillers.

More injections could lead to scarring and permanent deformity to the shape of her mouth.

2. FOREHEAD/EYEBROWS

Looking at older photographs of Amanda, it appears the shape and height of her eyebrows have altered dramatically. They appear lifted, and more arched.

I suspect either she has had an endoscopic brow lift or she is having regular Botox injections around her forehead and eyes.

3. UNDER EYES

Plumpness under the lower eye lashes is a sign of youth, so it is natural that these are much less pronounced in Amanda’s face after ten or 15 years.

However, I would say the lack of wrinkles in the eye area would suggest regular Botox.

4. CHEEKBONES/NOSE

Again, the natural plumpness of youth gave the younger Amanda a much rounder face but I cannot see any suggestion of work in this area.

Wild and free: Over 40 men and woman travelled to the island of Flat Holm for a day out organised by official naturists' society British Naturism


A haven for naturalists attracted a load of naturists at the weekend when 44 visitors stripped off for a unusual visit.

The day trip to the island of Flat Holm, organised by official naturists' society British Naturism, took four years to plan.

A mixture of both men and women, of all ages, chose to go on the trip to explore the wonders of the tranquil island while in the nude.

The event was organised by Andrea and Phil Griffiths, members of both the Flat Holm Society and British Naturism.

She said: 'I've been going over to the island as a volunteer for more than 20 years - and have been trying to get this trip organised for at least four.

'I'm delighted to be given the opportunity to share it with fellow naturists.

'I'm sure they will appreciate the tranquillity and peaceful atmosphere of the island and want to come back again and again.'

She added: 'I was talking to one of the volunteers after a nice sunny day on the island and we thought it would be nice to bring the naturists over here.

'I just thought they would love it. It’s secluded so nobody could object. There are a few staff who live on the island, but I did not see why anybody would object.'

The visitors learned more about Flat Holm's history, wildlife and rare plants, while exploring the island in all their naked glory.

The island, in the Bristol Channel, features a 100ft tall lighthouse to warn ships sailing up the Severn Estuary.

It was used as a sanctuary for Vikings, Anglo Saxons, silver miners, smugglers and cholera victims.

The island was also the location chosen by Marconi from which to broadcast the first ever radio message across the water to nearby Penarth in 1897.

Regular visitors to the island are advised to wear hats for the 50-minute, four-mile boat trip from Cardiff Bay because of mess from dive-bombing seagulls.

But while they wore clothes and hardhats for the journey, the group of naturists stripped off as soon as they landed on dry ground.

Andy and Phil only decided to become naturists 10 years ago while on holiday in Dorset.

She said: ' I had always wanted to try it and one year we went on holiday and I said to Phil we should give it a go. I just took my clothes off and enjoyed the beach, and what a fabulous feeling that was! It was remarkably easy and we haven’t looked back.

'People smile and are a lot more friendly and sociable. They also tend to look at your face more as there is not the distraction of what someone is wearing. We have made some great friends since.

'I would say that these days a lot more of us are coming out of the closet, in a way. I think events like this bring people together.'

She said: ' I think because we do not keep it a secret and talk openly about it, people are generally fine with it. It is just a part of my life and I think because I talk about it that way people accept it more. I do not titter behind my hand about it and I don’t expect others to.

'Most people are just like ‘Ooh, I couldn’t do that you’re braver than me! Nobody would want to see my naked body!’'

She says she thinks she has managed to convince other people to try it out, and they have found is surprisingly enjoyable.

She said: 'It’s one of those things that I do not think we have to hide, there’s nothing shameful about it, it’s just a perfectly normal thing to do.'
