Camera shy: Gwyneth Paltrow refuses to smile at waiting photographers as she leaves the gym in New York


It appeared Gwyneth Paltrow was not ready for her close up as she left the gym yesterday.
Dressed down in her exercise gear, the actress looked decidedly camera shy as she walked furtively down the street with her eyes pointing firmly at the ground.
The 37-year-old star was dressed in three-quarter-length trousers, a white top and trainers.

With barely a scrap of make-up on, and her hair in a bedraggled state, she hid behind a pair of large sunglasses as she left the gym in New York following a work out.

Iron Man 2 star Paltrow has recently revealed she struggled with her emotions following the birth of son Moses.

Paltrow gave birth to her second child, Moses, four years ago. She also has an older daughter, Apple, five, with husband Chris Martin.

Talking about the birth, she said to British Vogue magazine: 'At my lowest, I was a robot. I just didn't feel anything. I had no maternal feelings for him - it was awful.'

She added: 'I had no thoughts of harming him, thank God, but I couldn't connect, and still, when I look at pictures of him at three months old, I don't remember that time.

'My problem was that I never acknowledged anything was wrong. I just carried on as normal, and I just felt crazy.'

Husband Chris Martin helped her to deal with the problems and overcome them.

She said: 'It was Chris, actually, who said out loud that something was wrong. And that was such a relief when he did because it was confirmation that it wasn't just me.'

Iron Man 2 is released on April 30.
