Outfit for all seasons: Charlotte Church teams a pretty white summer dress with chunky brown boots

Surely some daintier shoes would have set that dress off a bit better, Charlotte?
The singer arrived at a London studio today clad for the warm climes in a pretty white crocheted dress which showed off her new slimline figure.

But her summery look would have looked better with some sandals or open-toed heels instead of the heavy, chunky brown boots that she opted for.

The Voice of an Angel star arrived at what appeared to be the BBC studios today ahead of the live show for Over The Rainbow, on which she is one of the judges.

She was all smiles as she showed off her summer look, her hair loose around her shoulders, her legs tanned and her eyes shielded from the sun behind brown designer shades.

But no doubt her feet may have been feeling rather hot on one of the hottest weekends of the year so far.

Bit of all white: Charlotte shows off her new slimline figure as she heads into a London studio

Charlotte arrived for week two of the reality TV show which will find a girl to play Dorothy in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's forthcoming West End production of The Wizard of Oz.

She is one of four judges alongside Eastenders' actor John Patridge, actress Sheila Hancock and of course, Lord Webber.

Tonight was the first live show in which the 10 chosen finalists went head-to-head to try and stay in the competition.

The final contenders: The remaining 10 Dorothy hopefuls sing their hearts out for the judges

Charlotte was full of praise for many, telling Steph Fearon that her rendition of Bjork's Oh So Quiet was 'fearless' and vocally 'brilliant', while Danielle Hope's version of Amy Studt's Just A Little Girl was 'dynamic'

But she also had some carefully chosen words of wisdom for others.

She told Emilie Fleming, who last week was chosen as the 'wild card' Dorothy, that she had to control her voice, after her 'sassy' rendition of Alesha Dixon's hit, The Boy Does Nothing.

Fellow judge John Partridge rooted for contestant Steph too, telling her: 'That is how you front a number - ladies, take note, that was absolutely fantastic!'
Sheila showed her liking for contestant Danielle, telling her she had a 'big career ahead of you', while Bronte Barbe, who sang KT Tunstall's Suddenly I See, 'got the contrast between the verse and chorus well.'

Lloyd Webber rightly chose to sit on the fence and not express too much opinion at this early stage, telling all the girls they were all contenders for the coveted role.

Tomorrow night, the viewers votes will be counted and two 'Dorothys' will battle it out to avoid being voted off the show.
