Retaining her crown: Cheryl Cole has been voted the Sexiest Woman In The World by readers of FHM magazine


Her private life may be suffering, but Cheryl Cole has been given a boost after being named the Sexiest Woman In The World for the second year in a row.

The X Factor judge, 26, came top in a poll of the 100 sexiest women by male readers of FHM magazine, narrowly beating Hollywood actress Megan Fox and bikini model Marissa Miller.

Cole's new accolade comes after a rollercoaster year for the Geordie star, which has seen her taste success as a solo artist, but split from her husband Ashley Cole.

Transformers siren Fox, 23, ended up in second place to Cole for the second year in a row, despite peeling off in the new Armani lingerie advertisements.

Newly-single Saturdays bandmember Frankie Sandford appeared in fourth place, with just two of her four bandmates appearing in the top 100.

Irish bandmate Una Healy entered at 11, while Rochelle Wiseman just scrapped in at 98.

The highest new entry in the list is Twilight actress Kristen Stewart at number six, perhaps boosted by her legions of male 'Twi-hard' fans.

Unsurprising additions in the top 10 are models Kelly Brook and Keeley Hazell, who have both been deemed the Sexiest Woman In Britain after coming number two to previous American number ones.

The only WAG in the top 10 is Peter Crouch's fiancée Abbey Clancy at 10.

After putting in many appearances in bikinis and returning to her lingerie modelling days as the new face of Ultimo, Brook jumped from last year's 48 to this year's seventh.

Cole was joined in the top 100 by Girls Aloud bandmates Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle at 35 and 59 respectively, while Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh were missing.

Unfortunately for Britney Spears, she dropped from last year's four to 44 in 2010 - despite winning the title six years ago.


Lucky seven: Kelly Brook jumped from 48 to seven this year


Angelina Jolie only managed number 70, but was still 11 places above former love rival Jennifer Aniston at 81.

A new appearance is Tiger Woods' estranged wife Elin Nordegren at 65, who has garnered a lot of public sympathy since her husband's numerous affairs were made public towards the end of last year.

Other new entries includes Lady Gaga at 92 and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos at 15.

Noticeably missing from the top 100 is supermodel Kate Moss

Over 1million votes were cast this year as male fans chose their favourite pin-ups.

FHM editor-in-chief Colin Kennedy said: 'That other election might be a close-run thing but this equally important poll was so one-sided this year that some bookies have already paid out on Cheryl Cole.

'After hogging the headlines and dominating TV screens for 12 solid months, the nation's sweetheart romped home for a second successive year, leaving all challengers in her curvaceous wake.
